Review & Photos : The 6th Annual Pandarosa Showcase @ Trammel Crow Lake in Dallas

Get the flash player here:

To be honest, I was skeptical when all of the equipment was being set up in the middle of a field at Trammel Crow Lake Park. But, despite being marred by a minor setback involving theft earlier in the day and a delayed starting time, this year's Showcase was one of the best in The Pandarosa's history. The location turned out to be the perfect setting, just on the edge of the city the label has worked around all these years. It provided a picturesque backdrop to the night's music. The weather was on everyone's side and made the events of the evening that much more enjoyable. The round-robin style of switching out bands every two (or so) songs kept things fresh. The band's sets all worked out nicely and sounded fantastic. All those who played really care for what they are doing and deserve more recognition than they are getting.

In the photos above, you will see Johnny the Wham, We Are Not Shepherds, Jacob Chaney, Mary Anne Thompson, and Abraham Kills the Giant.
