SXSW Shows to Know: M. Ward, Jim James, and others @ St. David's Church

SXSW not only give you the chance to see a ton of acts that you love, but you also get to see them together. That point could not be made any clearer than the show taking place at St. David's Presbyterian Church on 7th Street, on Saturday, March 15. Now, forgive us for not knowing about the first opener or the two bands who play last, but the middle is what truly has us excited. Second on the bill would be none other than mister M. Ward, playing a solo show that is sure to amaze. Last time we caught him, he played an amazing full-band set, and I can guarantee that this one will be special. Taking the stage (or pulpit?) after M. Ward is My Morning Jacket frontman Jim James, who will (obviously) also be playing a solo show. Hopefully the show will be very intimate, but we can guarantee that this one will be a highlight of the festival. The full line-up and everything else you might need to know can be found down below.

St. David's Church (304 E. Seven Street)

It probably was an awesome show. Unfortunately, the church hit capacity an hour before either started. Even SXSW elite (badge carriers) couldn't get into the damn show. That show was one of the principal reasons we travelled 800 miles to attend SXSW, but we couldn't get in. Hopefully, some videos will show up on Youtube.

Yeah it was amazing indeed. Sorry you couldn't get in. They said it was 250 at capacity, but it looked a lot smaller to me. My post about the show will be up soon so keep in touch!
