SXSW Shows to Know: Last Minute Extravaganza

So we know that if you are going to SXSW this year, you probably have everything planned out by now, or you are just going to wing it. So for the wingers out there, here are some last minute shows to consider when deciding what to do. Also, even if you do have everything planned out and you haven't seen these before, you might want to consider them!

First up is the wonderful Mess with Texas party. This year, the party has taken on a much larger (and better) form, and is certainly worth your while. The party is only on one day this year, so its all jam packed together on Saturday, March 15. Some highlights include Kimya Dawson, Islands, Matt and Kim, Atlas Sound, Yeasayer, and tons of wonderful comedians. Follow the link for more info on the party: Mess With Texas.

Another show you should be looking out for is the Garden Party at the French Legation Museum. Yes, it sounds quite proper, but this one is certainly worth checking out. Highlights include Kimya Dawson, Okkervill River, and Thurston Moore and the New Wave Bandits. This one takes place on Saturday, March 15 as well, so if MWT2 isn't your thing, then this one is worth your time. Check www.pressherepresents.com for set times!

The last show I will mention is called Bikes in the Kitchen and it sounds awesome! On Thursday, March 13, Ms. Bea's will hold a fantastic show including highlights Matt & Kim, The Death Set, Best Fwends and more. Like all of these shows, this one is free!

So, with that being said, this will be our last SXSW related post until the week is over with. We hope you enjoy your time out there and we will be posting ASAP.
