News Collective

If you are as excited as we are for everything Animal Collective, you might want to perk up those e-ears for some good news. Avey Tare and Panda Bear are both making music outside of AC, and we're loving it.

Avey and his acquaintance Kria Brekkan from the Icelandic band Múm, have a record coming out on April 24 in America. I had heard news of this, and even seen a video of them playing together in studio, but wasn't sure when it was happening, but it's official folks! The 8 track album is entitled Pullhair Rubeye.

In other AC side project news, Panda Bear's next album,
Person Pitch, is coming out in America on March 20. For now, you can pillage the internet and find tracks off of the album to stream. We've already heard what can be found online, and we're loving what Mr. Noah Lennox has done with this album. You can purchase his split with Excepter here at the Paw-Tracks online store.

Here's a special little treat. A video taken from the Planet Claire Sessions of Avey and Kria playing a cover of "I've Got Mine", originally done by Chris Smither.
